The Bishop of London, the Rt. Rev. Richard Chartres met priests, ministers and spiritual heads from Chiswick to Feltham on Monday 30th March and advised them to 'be convinced, be humble, be joyful and look cheerful in your faith'.
Feltham MP Alan Keen insisted he had 'pushed extremely hard' to keep Feltham jobcentre open as he visited the limited new job services on offer at Hanworth Library.
Mr Keen welcomed the introduction of a new remote service, which will see two advisors visit the library for one morning a fortnight and The Centre Feltham every other week.
On Saturday, two ambassadors of Hanworth Carnival handed over a £4,000 cheque to Cancer Research UK, from funds raised at last summer's event.
The annual event is coming to an end this summer and the final Hanworth Carnival Week will run from Saturday, June 27, until Saturday, July 4.

PCSO's Julie Dracup and Javed Akhtar of Hanworth Park Safer Neighbourhood Team (Feltham Police) have visited St Lawrence RC Primary School to speak to the children about pedal cycle safety.
Over 40 pedal cycles were security marked during the day and the children and staff were given information on a variety of crime prevention measures. PCSO Dracup said, "The event was a huge success which we hope has highlighted the importance of securing your property and not making a thief's life an easy one. It is through events like this that we hope to reduce crime in the area through education and personal empowerment".

Former Hounslow mayor Cllr Andy Morgan-Watts has defected from the Liberal Democrats in favour of his 'new freedom' as an independent candidate.
Cllr Andy Morgan-Watts, who served as the borough's first citizen last year, said his time in the non-political role had made him realise, 'just how much can be achieved without mainstream party politics'.
Officers swooped on a suspected cannabis factory in Lower Feltham at about 7am on Monday morning discovering a number of plants being grown in the loft of the house in Hayling Avenue.
Sergeant Darren Weston of Hanworth Park Safer Neighbourhood Team said the discovery was testament to the hard work of local communities who were increasingly coming forward with useful information.
Volunteers continued on their monumental mission to return Hanworth Park in Hounslow to its pre-war heyday by planting another 1,700 trees.
The hard-working sixth formers from Longford Community School, The Heathland School, and Hounslow Manor School were joined by volunteers from Sky's The Bigger Picture initiative last Wednesday for an industrious day planting English Oaks, Silver Birches, Sweet Chestnuts and Wild Cherrys.
Desperate Feltham Marshalling Yards protesters are calling on local bird-spotters and wildlife enthusiasts to help them defend the nature reserve from development by BAA.
The furious residents, who live around the former Feltham Marshalling Yards site, are appealing for help in their battle to stop BAA reopening the overgrown site as a train depot for a new fast rail service.
Spiralling unemployment figures have prompted Hounslow Council leader Peter Thompson to launch one last impassioned plea on behalf of Feltham Job Centre, which is due to close in three weeks.
The unpopular move, which was set in motion before the recession really began to bite, means nearly 1,000 Feltham jobseekers will be forced to travel to Hounslow for job advice and support.
