Tinsel time down on the farm
Christmas rebels can enjoy some slightly more unusual yule activities over at the Urban Farm this winter where the animal packed grotto is already decked out in festive finery.
The farm's barn, complete with chickens, goats and sheep, has been transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland, where Santa will be greeting children and handing out gifts until the New Year.
Less traditional Christmas entertainment also on offer at the farm, in Faggs Road, Feltham, will include animal handling, pig racing and scarecrow making.
And just to confuse the traditionalists even further there may be a few very early spring lambs gambling about, as the farm is home to a special breed which produce young twice a year.
"Three of the ewes are due at the moment so hopefully we should have lambs around over Christmas," said staff member Victoria Parckar. "Baby animals are always a hit with our younger visitors."
The farm is open 10am-4pm on weekends and will be open for the same times every day, except Christmas day, between December 18 and January 4.
Tickets cost £7.50 per child and adults accompanying a child go free. Entrance fee includes all activities and a gift from Santa for each child.
