The positive power of Islam

Despite the diversity of the borough of Hounslow, many people still live and socialise in their own communities with little contact with others from different cultures or faiths. Continuing their programme of informal meetings to bring people together, Hounslow Friends of Faith have organised a talk on the positive values of Islam in the UK.

Entitled 'Islam in Britain, its contribution to the UK and to Hounslow', Imam Sheikh Nisar Ahmad Hussain Sulaimani will focus on the some of the values of Islam, such as moderation, concern for those less fortunate and living one's faith and how these can benefit British society.

The event takes place on Tuesday 14th October at the Parish Centre, St Michael and St Martin's Church, Bath Road, Hounslow at 7 for 7.30. It is open to all. It will be followed by the group's AGM.
