Cops may track stabbing suspects' mobiles

Detectives may use telephone tracking equipment in a last-ditch effort to solve a near-fatal stabbing in Hanworth this summer.

The violence broke out at a house party, in Uxbridge Road, Hanworth, on July 19.

A 16-year-old Feltham girl was left with a minor stab wound to the abdomen, while a 21-year-old man, also from Feltham, almost died after being knifed in the leg and back.

A 17-year-old Feltham boy and two men from east London were arrested and bailed after the attacks but no one has yet been charged.

This week Det Insp Jeff Minns, of Hounslow CID, confirmed his officers may use telephone data, which shows where mobile phones have moved around to track their suspects movement on the night of the assaults.

We'd like to hear from you.
