An artist hoping to build a major sculpture on Hanworth's Butts Farm estate is rowing from Oxford to Cambridge to raise money for the project.
Christopher Guest, 41, has been working with Refugee Art and Culture Enterprise (RACE) since a local school asked him to design the work three years ago.
But with estimated costs of £70,000, and with only a £15,000 grant from Hounslow Council secured so far, he has a long way to go.
These easy riders cruised into Feltham on their beautiful scooters at the weekend to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Wild Cards club.
Members of the scooter group have been meeting at Feltham Railway Club, in Harlington Road East, for the past decade.
A gorgeous teenager from Hanworth is hoping to use her combination of good looks and strong opinions to wow the judges at a national modelling competition next week.
As well as showing off her catwalk skills 17-year-old Holly Coady will have to prove her green credentials if she hopes to scoop top place in the eco-friendly Miss Earth UK contest.
"The contest isn't just about looking pretty," she explained. "We all have to give speeches on green issues and the judges will make their decision on both things."
Fame-hungry teenagers from Feltham will hit the studio for their first 'Fame Academy' sessions at The Centre today.
The free drama workshop, run by professionals and available to anyone aged 12-18, is the first of a series of classes at Feltham library community rooms, located at The Centre, Feltham.
And if you fancy a taste of the showbiz lifestyle then it's not to late to join the fun.
Health chiefs have urged residents to have their say on how medical services across the borough are run by joining a new watchdog.
Hounslow's Local Involvement Network, LINk, met for the first time last month, but it's not too late to get involved.
The group is part of a Government initiative to give the public a greater say in how health services are run.
A furious football club secretary says the vandal who has been 'sabotaging' his team's goal posts could kill a child if they do not cut it out.
Dave Brown, of Hanworth Villa FC, was horrified when an annual inspection of the posts last week revealed one on the children's pitch had been dangerously tampered with - and is convinced someone with a grudge against the club is responsible.
"All the bolts had been loosened and a totally random piece removed," he said. "It was completely unsafe and if the crossbar had fallen on to someone's head from eight foot up, it could easily have killed them."
Let's hope smiles like these are a common site around the borough as students collect their A-level results.

A gang of men left a teenager needing stitches after repeatedly battering him with a wooden pole.
The 16-year-old boy had been involved in a fight in Littlepark Road, Feltham, before the attack last Thursday.
When he left his home later that day he was approached by a number of men, one of whom hit him over the head several times.
He was taken to hospital and given stitches for two cuts to his head before being sent home.
The suspect is a slim Asian man, around 5ft 10in, aged 17 or 18 years, wearing a blue beanie hat and beige combats.
Anyone with information should call Hounslow CID on 020 8247 6160 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Stormy weather kept the crowds down at a pair of community picnics last Friday but the hardy kids who braved the weather had a great time despite the showers.
The gatherings at Bear Road Recreation Ground and Butts Farm Green were organised by the Extended Schools Service to get Hanworth families together during the summer holidays.
Coordinator Maeve Begley said: "The weather was absolutely terrible but that's the risk you take with the British summer. It was great fun though and all the kids seemed to be having a good time."
If you want some reward for a hard year slaving over your vegetable patch then the Hounslow & District Allotments & Gardens Association annual show is the event for you.
Their event this weekend will showcase vegetables, fruit and flowers, floral art, cookery (including jams, jellies, bread and cakes), knitting, toys and craft work.
