Mower really cuts it for carnival organisers

This mower arrived in the nick of time to save Hanworth Carnival.

Members of Hanworth Village Hall in Park Road, Hanworth, this week thanked BAA Heathrow for donating the £350 machine as part of its Community and Environment Awards.

Jennifer Pilfold said the gift helped ensure the big event on July 5 went smoothly after the old mower packed in earlier this year.
"We're very grateful for the mower because it came just in time for the carnival," she said.

"It will definitely be useful in future because we have dog training and all sorts of events on the green."
