Fun day's Zenith
Concerns over their ongoing wrangle with the council were put to one side as Butts Farm residents flocked to a fun day organised by the Zenith Community Group.
Anxiety over the possible future of their community centre may have been the hot topic of the day but revellers including four-year-old Sena Oktay still found time to enjoy the many fun-filled activities on offer on Saturday, July 12.
The Rev Keith Rowbottom, of Hanworth Methodist Church, helped organise the event.
He said: "Although we were handing round a petition it was still a fun afternoon. Events like this are important to help bring our community together."
As well as enjoying dozens of events, face painting and treats, 120 residents found time to add their names to the petition demanding action over Butts Farm Community Centre.
Members of the Zenith Community Group believe their efforts to re-open the centre, which has sat empty since 2004, are being thwarted by Hounslow Council.
